During both Easter morning services on Sunday, April 21, 2019, the members of FBC Russellville will notice a slight change to their sanctuary setting. Seats in the worship center will be rotated 43.7 degrees to the east so that the congregation is facing the city of Jerusalem, the area where Jesus was crucified and resurrected. Church officials stated that it would be similar to the tradition where Muslims pray facing Mecca five times a day. However, rather than praying to the false gods, this congregation will be worshiping the Lord for the whole hour at the fix angel. FBC encourages other churches to follow and hope that it brings to light the real reason for the season when they do this again during their Christmas services in December, though they will be facing Bethlehem at a 44.3-degree angle to the east.
Church services for FBC Russellville are on Sundays at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM.
