Ellen the Emu taken into custody; charged with Jay Walking and Resisting Arrest. On December 15th around 12:00 Noon, agencies responded to a rogue emu on State Highway 22 in Dardanelle. Law enforcement was unable to apprehend the suspect; thus animal experts took control of the situation. Ellen is being held at an animal rescue shelter awaiting a bond hearing.
